Spring Term 1:

This term we will be learning:

English	Recount of Christmas holidays. Continuing ‘Lost and found’ by Oliver Jeffers - writing our own version of the text. Toys in Space by Mini Grey – writing own version based on text.
Maths	Numbers to 20 – Counting in 10s and 1s. 1 more, 1 less. Compare numbers and objects. Compare and order numbers.
Science	Materials – How are toys different and the same? Investigating the properties of different materials.
Computing	Creating a simple animation using Puppet Pals on iPads. Create a storyboard, telling a story with more than one scene. Add own pictures and audio.
History/ Geography	How have toys changed through time? Similarities and differences of old and new toys. Looking carefully at change through time. Sorting and sequencing toys.
Art/DT	Art – Antony Gormley – clay figures “field” make our own figures and teddy bears adding textures and using different tools and techniques.
Music	Charanga
PE	Locomotion 2 – ball skills. Gymnastics – wide, narrow, curled, rolling and balancing.
PSHE	What makes me part of my community? Living in the wider world – Diverse Britain.
RE	What do we think about how the world was made and how should we look after it?
